Gort Community School
The secondary school in Gort is thirty years old and has grown past a thousand pupils. Founded in 1995, Gort Community School added the Noone Building in 2010 under principal Denis Corry, with dressing rooms, a music room, a career guidance suite and an oratory, and in 2022 the Department of Education approved another extension of classrooms, special education rooms, science laboratories and fitness and general-purpose space. The same year it made the top ten shortlist for the World's Best School Prizes in the category for supporting healthy lives.
